I would just like to make as much people aware of this because I think this information is not well known. The Maldives are the flattest pieces of land on earth and is extremely vulnerable to rising sea levels. Unfortunately, because of serious environmental problems that cause rising sea levels, there is a chance that the Maldives may lose about 3/4 or more of its land mass before the end of this century. From whale sharks and manta rays to hammerheads, a variety of colorful fish, dolphins, and the olive ridley sea turtle, you’ll come across many fascinating creatures during your stay in the archipelago. The Sea of Stars is located in the Maldives so I think it is only right that I, as I did before in my post on the Maldives as a whole, address environmental issues that the Maldives could be facing. There’s no doubt the Maldives has direct access to amazingly vivid marine life. This Maldives bioluminescent beach has much to offer. Simply looking at images of the Sea of Stars is enough to take my breath away. The Sea of Stars in the Maldives is so much more than just bioluminescence to explore the views. I believe witnessing this phenomenon in action would be one of those moments that a person would always remember. It looks like the waves are decorated with Christmas lights, like millions of stars have crashed into the waves from above, glowing. There's a beach in the Maldives known as Vaadhoo Island that shines at night creating a view that looks straight from science-fiction fairytale. I think that the Sea of Stars is perhaps the most transcending and romantic natural lighting (and of course the Northern Lights.) Not many people are aware of the Sea of Stars but I think this is really a sight that everyone would enjoy seeing. Known for its pristine beauty and breathtaking views, Maldives has another gorgeous reason to be on your bucket list. The effect of this phenomenon is simply awe-inspiring ( ): The bioluminescence in the water is actually due to marine microbes called phytoplankton that emanate the blue glow. When looking at what the Maldives has to offer, we’re not surprised it’s a top holiday or honeymoon destination. This illusion is actually created by biological light, or bioluminescence, in the waves. This sea appears to reflect a mirror image of the stars above. This extraordinary sea is actually possible because of one of nature’s many phenomenon.
